What grocery stores will allow student film shoots within the store?
Q. I have a college film shoot this weekend, and there is a scene inside of a grocery store. What grocery stores will allow student film makers to shoot a short film in their store. The shoot is located in Scottsdale/Phoenix Arizona.

A. look for a store that's more local/family owned. and ask the manager if you can make a movie, just as long as your not gonna make a big mess he will most likely say yes.

What are some stores with really high quality and comfortable jeans?
Q. I hate wearing jeans that are really expensive but really stiff and uncomfortable. I also don't like those low-rise jeans b/c my underwear shows when I wear those, so I always have to pull down my shirt. Some stores I don't like: -walmart (too cheap) -aeropastale (low rise and stiff) -kohls (too cheap) My favorite store for pants is Gap or Old Navy, but their pants are not very high quality or good looking. A. I used to work as a seamstress, and one day a gal had me do a hem on her jeans that she bought at a famous store, and they were very expensive, about 200$ for one pair of jeans. The fabric was cheap and I was afraid my sewing machine would fray the fabric, it didn't, but no longer was I willing to work on 200$ jeans that were made from inferior materials. Go to a store that sells consignment clothing, and see what jeans still look good, and that is the pair you should buy new. Consignment stores will have every brand out there. And the good ones will still look new. You can brighten up an old pair of jeans by getting Rit dye and following the package directions. A. The only merch I ever see sitting out of retail stores is too heavy to hoist, chained to the ground, or monitored with cameras. Other than that, I guess they rely on the honor system, or having enough customers to tattle on each other.

A. I think itunes plays a big role in music stores closing. As well as other places, like Target, Walmart, and Best Buy selling music. I remember going to Tower Records in my town and they always had everything- even tons of techno,gabber etc type music. And now they are GONE!!! So sad. Most of my music comes from the Internet today so I blame the net as well. As for books- people enjoying physically holding a book to read. That's my take on it. I don't think itunes is ripping us off, just making it more convenient for people to not have to go to a store to look for something. Personally I miss doing that! Luckily in the bay area here we still have Rasputin's and Amoeba's.

I was actually looking for some lolita shoes myself, and I think that you should look through stores like Robert Wayne, Target, Charlotte Russe (they have some cute flats that could work), Payless (and believe me, 0.0 they actually had shoes in the kid's section that looked like carbon copies of AP and Btssb shoes!). I would stay away from Hot Topic, unless you're certain you can coordinate with their chunky/plasticky boots, and especially since you're doing sweet, less reason for Hot Topic. ^_^ I'm sorry that I can't be of much help, but really the best option is ordering online from brands like Double Decker.
