Do you know the best way to bring my horse back into work?
Q. Hello Budding Equestrians! (Go aussie!) I have an Appy x Warmblood showjumper that I am bringing back into work after a massive spell of 1 year (thanks to uni). He is now 14 yrs old, 16h tall and has a little grass belly. Can you give me any suggestions as to how I should approach his new programme? Farrier is coming on Thursday to put shoes back on. I was considering a chiro just to check he has not done anything stupid in the paddock. I also did not know whether to supplement him up or have the vet administer some pentosan injections to ease up his joints...

A. I would suggest lungeing him for 10-15min maybe twice a day for a wile and a keep going up. It wil work his muscles and get him back into shape.
