Are over the counter drug tests as good as the ones hospital use?
Q. My husbang stopped smoking weed 30 days ago. He was an everyday smoker. He had to take a drug test to get a new job and we bought him an over the counter one from Walgreens that he passed right away. Are the ones hospitals use comparible?

A. There are different types of urine drug screens that can be used, the first is inexpensive and results are fast. Many companies doing pre-employment will send out a sample that comes back inconclusive from the initial test for a more sensitive test. If he was just having a urine drug screen at the hospital for another reason, they probably will not send it out. Marijuana is stored in fat cells, so if you are overweight, it will take longer to leave your system completely, however, regardless, 30 days is generally sufficient time to pass a urine drug screen. A. It is kept behind the pharmacy counter because it is both an over the counter and prescription drug. NOT because it is expensive or stolen a lot. If you are 18 or older you can buy it without a prescription. But you do have to provide ID and ask for it at the pharmacy counter. If you are 17 or younger you need a prescription.

A. no. Just plan on about 1 and a half weeks recovery your splints or packing will come out on "about" day 5( some less) You can however take bioflavanoids to reduce bruising around the eyes and vitamin c dont smoke drink plenty of water and juices keep ice packs handy

Q. I have a stubborn case of cutaneous candidiasis (yeast infection), I have been to the dermatologist for it many times have have tried many things. Verdeso was the only thing that worked but it came back after my sample was done. Then he put me on something else that doesn't work at all. A. No, there are no over-the-counter medications which resemble barbiturates. There are some prescription medications which may metabolize to become barbiturates. Barbiturates are very powerful and the lethal dose is very low, so they're rarely prescribed and like I said, nothing over-the-counter resembles them because of the likelyhood for abuse. I would go back and ask if you can be retested. Because of the result, you may also look for ways to detox for barbiturates to ensure you do not test positive next time.

A. THC ,which is the chemical in marijuana that makes you high, is not in any of these formulations. THC is a chemical that attaches itself to the fat in your body and is detected for up to 30 days. Only if you have smoked a joint, eaten some "special brownies" or ingested marijuana, hashish or the like, in the last 30 days, a urine test come up positive for THC.
