Triazolam (marketed in English speaking countries under the brand names Apo-Triazo, Halcion, Hypam, and Trilam) is a benzodiazepine derivative drug. It possesses pharmacological properties similar to that of other benzodiazepines, but it is generally only used as a sedative to treat insomnia. In addition to the hypnotic properties triazolam possesses, amnesic, anxiolytic, sedative, anticonvulsant and muscle relaxant properties are also present. Benzo's are difficult to overdose on, and 4-5 tablets are not really a fatal overdose. Generally, she will get very sleepy and drowsy, may have slurred speech and an altered mental status. It is more likely she will harm herself by physical injury since she will be very drowsy and unstable, therefore she should stay in bed and limit physical activity. Q. I have been mentally ill for a long time. I have been on Aropax, Luvox, Zoloft, Prozac and Clomipramine- to no avail. I have tried experimenting by augmentating with typical and atypical anti-psychotics- Olanzapine, Quetiapine, Risperidone, Solian, and Invega. Haloperidol, Largactil, and Stelazine. I have even taken Rohypnol, Oxycontin, Codeine, Dextropropoxyphene,and Marijuana. Valium, Serepax, Ativan, Xanax, Clobazam, Clonazepam, Temazepam, Triazolam, and Mogadon- I've been on all of these and nothing works. I'm on Haloperidol at the moment, but only 0.5mg. Tomorrow I'm boosting it up to 5mg twice a day. If this Haloperidol doesn't work, then I want to be put on Clozapine.
